Approach
Exploratory analysis, feature engineering and upsampling for class imbalance, then a gradient boosting model tuned on 37.5M+ records.
Result
98% AUC and 0.91 recall, cutting the losses that come from defaulters being classed as creditworthy, plus a clear picture of the traits that signal default.
